goodlife, gigolo, hot banana or turbo are just four of the countless labels, where kiko has released some of his most eclectic productions. now it’s time for him to rock huntemann’s confused label. his sound is always trenched with electro, ebm and intergalactic disco elements - a certain ratio of retro. faces of life is no exception from this rule. saw-tooth basses a raw drumming and spaced out melodies pave the way for this rave club weapon from the outer rim of uranus. galaxia is another example for his approach towards electronic dance music – comparable to the dutch legend legowelt he simply knows about the analogue sound world. this is a big rock band shrivelled into a moog space ship

dont worry, christophe dalla-ca aka kiko is not interested in a seventies disco revival, even if the tongue in cheek reference to john travolta in the title track of this ep might imply that. on the other hand, the work released by the man from grenoble for such renowned labels as ozone, hot banana, goodlife and turbo has consistently shown that kikos interpretation of techno from the 2000s also includes a conscious reworking of past dance floor orientated electronic music. in this sense, kiko has succeeded in making three stand alone, coherent interpretations of a mutual meltdown of new wave, disco and elektro, with the tracks on the >tragolta ep<. whether he is impressing with the best possible mix of ebm and dave clarkes red series (30.1) or enchanting us with the continuously jewel like, dazzling melancholic melodies of >electric burst< or >tragolta<– the fact remains true that he perfectly supplements this approach to the sound cosmos of datapunk

the first single on esperanza is produced by kiko barba, mimusik records capo in madrid with two releases on stock..his debut e.p. on esperanza >esperan2< is somekind of deep minimal with a weird funky melody coming up on the middle of the track that burns everything up. it comes up in the second cut of the a side with butanes rmx. he is alphahouse recods owner in the u.s. and brings a more deep housey track perfect for a firsthours club set. last but not least there is a troy pierce remix on the whole b side, almost 8 minutes minimal dancefloor bomb with an acid kind bass and a killer base...
